BURSARY 2014



BURSARY AWARDS RULES & REGULATIONS (2014)
 
  1. Name                                     :   PAWOA Members’ Children Bursary Awards.
  2. Objectives                              :  To encourage members’ children to build up a habit of learning, to train
                                                            them to become a good citizen so that they can serve the country and the
                                                            society well in the future.
(3) Unit In-Charge                            :  PAWOA’s Culture and Education Sub-Committee.  Their duties are:
                                                          a) To check the Bursary Awards application forms and all the relevant
                                                              documents.
                                                          b) To handle all matters related to Bursary Awards.
(4) Applicants’ Qualification           :  All the children of PAWOA’s member who does not have arrears in Annual
                                                         Subscription Fees and whose children are currently studying in any medium
                                                         of  school in Malaysia but excluding those study in Professional School,
                                                        Commercial School, Training Class, Tuition class or Tertiary Establishment.
        4.1 Primary School
              4.1.1 TAHAP I (Standard 1,2 and 3)
                                        4.1.1.1    Year End Average Marks must be 80 and above.
                                        4.1.1.2    The marks for every subject must be 50 and above.
                                        4.1.1.3    Conduct of the student must be at least B grade.
                                        4.1.1.4    The results of applicant based on the year end PKBS Report Card.
             4.1.2    TAHAP II (Standard 4,5 and 6)
                                        4.1.2.1    Year End Average Marks must be 75 and above.
                                        4.1.2.2    The marks for every subject must be 50 and above.
                                        4.1.2.3    Conduct of the student must be at least B grade.
                                        4.1.2.4    The results of applicant based on the year end PKBS Report Card.
      4.2  Lower Secondary School
                                        4.2.1.      Year End Average Marks for Remove Class and Form I must be 75 and above.
  1. Year End Average Marks for Form 2 and Form 3 must be 70 and above.
  2. PMR results must score at least 6 B and above.
  3. Independent School Centralized Examination must score at least 6 B & above.
  4. Conduct of the student must be at least B grade.
4.3 Upper Secondary School
                        4.3.1       Form 4,Form 5 or Sr. Middle 1,2 & 3(Independent school);Year End Average
                                        Marks must be 65 and above.
  1. SPM results must score at least  3A + 3B.
  2. Independent School Centralized Examination must score at least 6 B
(including Chinese Language).
  1. STPM Results must score at least 3 passes (including General Paper).
  2. Matriculation Results(GPCA) must score 3.33.
  3. Conduct of the student must be at least B grade. 
(5) Extra Awards for Outstanding Results in Government Examinations and Independent School
      Centralized Examination.
  1. UPSR results must score straight A.
  2. PMR/Independent Lower Secondary Centralized Exam must score straight A.
  3. SPM/Independent Upper Secondary Centralized Exam must score at least 8 A.
  4. STPM results must score at least 2A + 2B.
               5.5           Matriculation Results(GPCA) must score 3.89.
(6)  Please note that :
                6.1          Every application form must attach the following documents:
                                                6.1.1       A Photostat copy of  2013‘s result slip duly certified by the school authority.
                                                6.1.2       A Photostat copy of Birth Certificate(To verify the relationship of student).
                6.2          The successful students will be notified officially by the PAWOA  and the students concern
                               must attend the prize giving ceremony personally organized by PAWOA.
                6.3          Those who are absent from the prize giving ceremony is considered as automatically forfeited
                              of the Award. In case of special circumstances, please inform PAWOA three days in advance.
  1. Every student can only submit one application.
               6.5           PAWOA’s  Culture & Education Sub-Committee is responsible for checking all the application
forms & documents submitted by the applicants. Any late application or incomplete application
form or application with insufficient documents will not be entertained.  
  1.        If there is any controversial question raised regarding the rules and regulations of this Bursary
Award,  PAWOA’s  Culture & Education Sub-Committee decisions is final.
